BLOOMFIELD, NJ-- Another porch pirate was caught on camera stealing a package from a Bloomfield home.
On January 23, 2021 Bloomfield Police took a report of a stolen motor vehicle from the area of 458 Beardsley Ave. In that same week, Bloomfield patrol officers investigated three other automobile burglaries that occurred sometime in the overnight hours.
On February 24, Detectives, along with patrol units were able to locate Mr. Holder in a rear yard of an East Orange residence. Mr. Holder was arrested and transported to Bloomfield Police HQ.
Chief McNiff joined the Bloomfield Police Department in 1965. He was promoted to Sergeant in 1970, Lieutenant in 1977, Captain in 1982 and finally Chief of Department in 1986. He would hold this position until his retirement in 2005.
